Standing in the Gap
I’m weary of saying No to my children. Not just the everyday No’s. Don’t hit your brother and No, you cannot have 5 pieces of candy. I am weary of the No I am continually saying to our culture. The world is bound and determined to take away my children’s innocence. They want my children to grow up way too fast.

Are you a Worrier?
Are you a worrier? I think it comes with the job description of Mom. Seems like there is always something you can worry about. As a child I memorized Philippians 4:6. This is what I memorized, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything pray.” Recently, I rediscovered this verse and found I had not done a complete memorization

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

How to Have Family Devotional Time
I love the quote I read in a bulletin once, “Blessed is the family who begins family devotions again.” I could relate to that comment. Before we discuss how to have a family devotion time we need to ask the question, “Why should we have a family devotion?”. In Proverbs 22:6 we read, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” CWMs churches cannot be the only ones teaching our children about God. We need to teach them the other 6 days of the week.

Are Your Children Growing Up Too Fast?
Each time our children graduate from one stage to another (i.e. crawling - walking, preschool - school, highschool - graduation) we as parents are excited and a little sad as well. We want our children to grow up, but we reminisce about the "good old" days. I think those mixed feelings are normal for all of us. My question for you is - "Are your children growing up too fast emotionally and socially?" We can't stop their physical growth, but we can effect their emotional and social growth.
