There is a lot one could say about one’s self on an “about” page. The problem is whittling it down to the essentials.
Naturally I think of where I grew up and where I went to school when I think about “me.”  I love that I’m a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, and I’ll always be a proud alumnus of the University of Maryland, College Park and The George Washington University Law School.  But I left the Maryland/D.C. area after I graduated from law school in 1991, so that part of me seems far removed now, on the outer dressing of my life…sort of, unessential.
Work history would seem relevant as well. I spent almost a decade of my life practicing law, first as a law clerk to a federal judge and then as a litigator at a large law firm, where I was promoted to partner.  But I “retired” years ago from the practice of law, to be home with my children, and after so many years of sweat pants and tennis shoes, that life of business suits, pantyhose, and heels definitely seems far removed…not essential.  You can read more about Kimberly on her website!

In our family worship one night last week, one of my children picked “The Wise Man and Foolish Man” to play on the piano.  The song is taken from Matthew 7:24-27, in which Jesus said that Read More...
